Stargate (SG1) November 25, 2009

Title: Never A Dull Moment
Author: AstroGirl
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2085
Characters: Romana II, Daniel Jackson, Fourth Doctor, Jack O’Neill

I don’t watch Stargate and I just loved this. It’s sweet and funny with lots of cliches of the shows being exploited, Romana being both terribly clever and enjoyable company and the Doctor and O’Neill run around in amusing ways while hairy aliens attack and things blow up. What more could anyone ask for?

Title: A Dubious Ally
Author: Kerr Avonson
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2333
Characters: Fifth Doctor, Jack O’Neill, Nyssa

Okay, are there any bad, incomprehensible Stargate crosses? This is great with the Doctor getting tangled in Jack’s world and it being pretty much business as usual for the Time Lord. With a very entertainig ending. Lovely! (There’s a double drabble of a sequel here, too.)

Title: The Chess Players
Author: Forge
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2078
Characters: Seventh Doctor, Lord Vetinari

Seven plays Vetinari as chess. Which, as chess goes, is probably the ultimate showdown, were it not merely a ‘friendly’ match. With Pratchett-esque footnotes and all.

Little Britain November 22, 2009

Title: Little Gallifrey
Author: Nix Nada
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1789
Characters: First Doctor, Susan Foreman, The Master, Sixth Doctor (?), Omega, Lou, Myfanwy, Tom Baker

Utterly bizarre, but very amusing. And properly short snippets to prevent it becoming too much of a stretch in each case.

Title: Ego Clash
Author: vvj5
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 567
Characters: Third Doctor, Jo Grant, Hercule Poirot

It’s time for the denouement and Poirot takes centre stage, the identity of the murderer to be unveiled… and then someone steals the limelight and insults his moustache. Incroyable!

Blake’s 7 November 21, 2009

Author: bibliophile1887

I’m still sniggering. That’s going to be one showdown. Oh, dear, oh dear…

Title: A Grain of Truth
Author: wolfma
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 155
Characters: Vila Restal, Kerr Avon

A very amusing little cross with the Whoniverse. (If B7 and DW really are separate universes, which Chris Boucher doesn’t believe, and he should know…)

Title: Letters From an Unhinged Mind
Author: rollingstone
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 395
Characters: Fourth Doctor, Obi Wan Kenobi

I’m not sure how much this counts as a Star Wars crossover, but it is amusing as an amusing thing, nonetheless.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Title: Yo Ho Exterminate?
Author: Serinity46
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 994
Characters: Daleks, Captain Jack Sparrow

It has pirate Daleks. Drunk pirate Daleks. Does anything else matter?

Title: Devil of the Seas
Author: aikaterine26
Rating: All Ages / PG
Word Count: 47,211 (11 chapters) WIP (abandoned 2007)
Characters: Tenth Doctor, Martha Jones, Davy Jones, James Norrington, Calypso, Captain Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann (& others)

This is an unusual crossover, being just a really good, long story set more in the world of POTC than simply messing around with Captain Jack. Martha and the Doctor wind up trapped aboard the Flying Dutchman. The Doctor escapes, but can Martha? Unfortunately it seems likely to stay unfinished, but the better part of it is here and it’s worth a mention, nonetheless.
