Hugely enjoyable and well written short crossover, even for someone like me who’s never read the books.
The Sandman June 5, 2011
Again, I’m not familiar with Sandman, but this reads as well done and interesting (love the ending with Donna.)
As I say, I’m not familiar with the crossover, but this is beautifully done and Jack is the perfect subject for such a story.
Calvin & Hobbes March 6, 2011
This is great! It’s too short to say more; go read it and grin!
Lord of the Rings / J R R Tolkien February 5, 2011
Title: Through the rain curtain
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 13,164
Characters: Ninth Doctor, Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble, Ronald Reuel Tolkien, Faramir, Aragorn, Gimli, Frodo, Gandalf, Legolas.
I’m torn between putting this in my historical recs rather than here, as it’s perhaps more that than a crossover, but anyway, one of those fics where the author gets all his ideas from a visit to a planet that I don’t usually like, but which is done with a great deal of love for the author in question – Eledhwen clearly knows Tolkien’s history, and uses it well, including the links between Faramir and Tolkien himself. Let’s just say it’s something a bit different, and well worth a read.
Indiana Jones October 21, 2010
Title: Five Times Indy or Marion Met the Doctor and One Time They Met Him Together
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2136
Characters: First Doctor, Second Doctor, Fourth Doctor, Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka, Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble, Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Harold Oxley.
Fun five-times fic in which Indy meets the Doctor(s) several times over, usually to his annoyance.
Red Dwarf September 24, 2010
The Doctor was said to be at Dallas in 1963. So were quite a number of other time travellers, including a certain gang who were only in search of a decent curry. This is brilliant, from the Hitch-Hiker-esque intro on time travel, the nods to other time travellers who were also hanging around, the Doctor’s reaction to the Dwarfers’ current plan and the ending. Another example of a fanfic author making excellent use of a throwaway line from an episode.
It has Ten, Donna and Ace Rimmer in it. It’s brilliant. Go read.
There’s only one thing Kryten wants from the Doctor.
