A lovely bit of fun in which the two teams meet in a library, and there is world-threatening danger and the Doctor and Daniel bonding over bow ties, books and the promise of a visit to yet another library.

Title: Never A Dull Moment
Author: AstroGirl
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2085
Characters: Romana II, Daniel Jackson, Fourth Doctor, Jack O’Neill

I don’t watch Stargate and I just loved this. It’s sweet and funny with lots of cliches of the shows being exploited, Romana being both terribly clever and enjoyable company and the Doctor and O’Neill run around in amusing ways while hairy aliens attack and things blow up. What more could anyone ask for?

Title: A Dubious Ally
Author: Kerr Avonson
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2333
Characters: Fifth Doctor, Jack O’Neill, Nyssa

Okay, are there any bad, incomprehensible Stargate crosses? This is great with the Doctor getting tangled in Jack’s world and it being pretty much business as usual for the Time Lord. With a very entertainig ending. Lovely! (There’s a double drabble of a sequel here, too.)

Two I picked up from the same writer:

*

Title: Archaeologists
Author: Lady Yueh
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 501
Characters: Tenth Doctor, Rose Tyler, Daniel Jackson, Cameron Mitchell

I (still) don’t watch Stargate and yet I loved this. It made me laugh insanely. It takes a line of the Doctor’s from Silence in the Library and takes it to logical conclusions that Pratchett would be proud of. And thereby also gets a sly revenge at the Doctor for it.

Title: Goddesses, Consorts and Explosions
Author: Lady Yueh
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1186
Characters: Ninth Doctor, Rose Tyler, Jack Harkness, Jack O’Neill, Daniel Jackson, Sam Carter, Teal’c.

A very entertaining piece involving the two teams dealing with the sf cliches. And Rose blowing things up, thanks to a little coaching from Jack. (Again, I loved it despite my ignorance.)
